BRITISH COLONIES (1969) Apollo 11* A large collection of preliminary sketches (mostly pencil on cartridge paper) for the British Crown Colonies common design set commemorating the 30th anniversary of the first moon landing. More than 16 different designs, many of which were incorporated into the issued stamps, all but a few signed by the artist Nick Shrewring, and most measuring about 15 x 21 cm. An incredible collection!
